good idea or bad idea?

 

depends on what type of filter. stock filters do not require oil nor do i think its a good idea to oil them. k&n/after market filters will tell u if they require oil for them to work properly. the oil collects dirt and dust. i suppose u could use them without oil but that would lesson the effectiveness of the filter and possably damage the motor by letting small dust/dirt particals threw.
