95 Headlight aim HELP (newbie)

Wats goin all? I'm a newbie here with a 97 WS-6 6mas my weekend car and a 95 3.4Camaro as my DD. I've owned both cars Since 99 and have loved every minute of this expensive obsession haha. My problem is the Camaro's headlights have been HORRIBLE out of alignment since I bought the car. Wat I mean is the leftlight shines flat with the pavement and the right one is aimed skyward which blinds every oncoming driver and I amCONSTANTLY being flashed by drivers. I've never really bothered with aiming because I drive 5 miles to work on lighted city streets but whenever I'm on a dark road it's like a crapshoot in the dark unless I use my hi-beams..UGH. How do I aim these things and where do I find that mysterious tool that looks like a Torx screw-driver with a divot in the middle? Thanx for all the help and Luv the site.

;) well aiming can be trial and error without the tool designed to do it. heres what i do, find a garage door or wall on a level parking surface (wall or door with a series of horizontal lines preferred) and adjust lights to positions that you are happy with and then test drive ( at night obviously) and see if they light up the road, if not go back and adjust again. lines in your wall or garage door help in aligning both headlights in both a horizontal vertical axis.

unless your 97 is different than my 95 the headlight adjusters use standard torx bits, on mine tamper proof torx screws hold the headlights in the frame ( these are the style you describe) look a little more to the top and side for the adjusters?? kurt

Being that the light is shining up in the trees, it may have been installed upside down the last time it was replaced. Look at the writing on the glass & make sure it is facing up.
