Alright, here's dad's cbx. Pulled it out of storage after 18 years. It went out and ran this run with no compression in all cylinders. They went egg shaped durring his last run 18 years ago, back when it's time was a 10 flat. This bike is old, 79 I think. There's about 20 grand into the engine, and 5 more on the way as wee speak. We're having aries make us a custom set of flat-top pistons. Then we'll put his new air shifter on, and run a very big shot of nitrous. should get into the 8's we're hoping. Well, at least 8.99[8D]

For all you crotch rocket guys, this thing was the fastest there was back in the day. Before he cut the frame, he used to ride wheelies on it for miles, up hills, down hills, and around corners. Then the engine got too powerfull, and overheats if its run too long.

big difference between no compression and low on compression. it wouldnt run with no compression. what would that bike run stock? that doesnt seem that fast for a 6 with 20k in it. my buddies gsxr 1000 is near stock and in the 9s

 

Ok fine. 80 psi was the most we measured, but 60 was the average, it’s supposed to make over 170 stock. I call that no compression. over 100 psi down, and running 10.77, lol. &lt\\;br&gt\\;&lt\\;br&gt\\;12-13 was what it ran stock, and it will run 9’s on the motor if we get it to run right. Right now it’s just a frame. The engine was originally 1000 cc’s, and the bike is very heavy. I think we calculated it to be 1250 cc’s now. Keep in mind that it has low torque, no flywheel. And we have a wheel with a cushioned hub. Also, the 20k is 20 years ago, that was a lot of money. For a vintage drag bike, it’s a rocket on wheel. For modern racing, yeah.... it ain’t that fast. Dad wants to buy a hayabusa and turbo it. Now that would be fast. &lt\\;br&gt\\;
