wow, that looks like my Dad's parts garage

I'll have to take some newer pictures of my attached garage. I've got heat, but no insulation (and I may be too cheap to heat it in the winter...). I plan on adding insulation this summer. The garage is an attached 30 X 40 pole barn that for some reason just isn't big enough

Atleast you all have something enclosed. I hope to someday have the money to close up the carport where mine sits.

This is true, but then again, I couldn't change a tire outside in a t-shirt this time of year either lol!

Money is always a factor with me too. I mean, do I dump $500 into my garage, or do I put it in my Camaro?

When we bought our house, it had a nice sized two car garage. However, like many others here, I soon had more than two cars. In our development, any garage must use the same materials as your house so a pole barn was not in the picture. I am retired and wanted a workshop so this is what I came up with. The new garage is the one at the end of the driveway. Since I knew I was going to put in a lift, we built it with 12'4" ceilings. It is 25.5' wide x 30' deep, which is the biggest I could build and still meet setback requirements. I bought those cabinets with the countertop for $300 on Craigslist. Money well spent.

I got the pavement outside my house to work on my vehicles, Sunny or Raining, I work, I dont mind getting wet as long as it fixes the problem.

These are the only pictures that I have so far. My dad and I started building it in August and we just finished the outside walls and siding today. Next, we are going to start the inside with insulation and walls. We eventually plan getting the floor cemented and having a lift installed. I am also going to use some of our guys' ideas for the inside, such as finding used cabinets off of Craigslist or something for work benches. We still have a lot of work to do, but it has been fun to build so far.
