Default Winter Mods List, Suggestions Please!

The Z is getting parked here probably in the next two weeks, and in that time I'll be saving up for a few mods. I plan on pulling the engine out to address an oil leak (NEVER will I use an Ebay oil pan again.) While it's out, I plan on doing a few things. Here's the list:

Patriot Performance 185cc Vortec heads, 2.02 intake valves, assembled, .575 lift springs

Jegs .488"/.488" lift/292 duration cam and lifter set

Proform 1.6 Ratio Roller Rockers

Comp Cams High Energy Push rods

Jegs aluminum finned oil pan

Jegs 1 piece oil pan gasket

Mr. Gasket Ultra Seal gasket set

Jegs Noisy gear drive

Hedman Elite long tube headers

Currently, the engine is a 350 4-bolt with about 3000 miles on the rebuild. Forged aluminum pistons, steel crank and rods, Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley Street Avenger 670 carb, and other bolt-ons.

I'm running a 2300 RPM stall converter with my built 700R4. What adverse effects will I see by not increasing the stall speed?

In my far-from-professional opinion, I'd say it just won't be ideal. It won't drive at 100%, and you won't get the absolute greatest track times, but IMO if it bucks a tiny bit at idle, and I can't cut 1.6 60's, I don't really care. If you went with a higher stall it would improve pretty much everything, but is it enough to be worth it? I wouldn't say so...

Just my opinion!

My winter plans, put gas in the tank and drive it. Project plans are a thing of the past and for some people the projects are never ending. Just my thoughts on the subject.

We have snow and salt here, so the only real winter plans are to put a bottle of Stabil and Dry Gas into the tank and park her in the garage.

I guess I should have been more specific, the engine is coming out sometime this winter for sure, I can't deal with the oil leak anymore. While it's out I'm doing performance mods that I should have done in the first place and this is my tentative list.

I'm running a .480/.480 lift comp cam with crane energizer 1.6 full roller rockers, comp beehives and comp magnum pushrods along with isky anti-pump up superlifters. It's very streetable and I was running a 2300 stall in a turbo 400 with 3.42 gears at the time. I was running an edelbrock 2101 performer intake along with a Holley 750. My compression is a little lower than I wanted at 9.2:1 but that will change soon hopefully.

What's your current compression ratio and what are you going to if you're going to change heads?
