What do I have LS1 or LT1?

Default What do I have LS1 or LT1?
I have a 1998 Z-28 does it have the LT1 or LS1 in it and how can I tell? I've had my Z for over a year, but never knew how to tell them apart. Thanks in advance.

its an LS1, from 93-97 they had the LT1 and from 98-02 it was the LS1, distinguishable from the black plastic intake manifold, whereas the LT1 is a large aluminum intake manifold.

305 hp/335 ft/lbs tq. Top speed 160+. Limited unless your car came with Z rated tires or was tuned for Z tires.
