does anyone have a diagram for the vacuum hoses and where everything is "supposed" to lead
i need it for a 78 z28 350 v8 small block
if anyone even has the same car as me a photo of their engine with the air cleaner off making it visible to see the hoses goin from the thermal vacuum switch and the temperature operated bypass valve
along with anything thats "supposed to be attached to the distributor advance.
all photos and help is greatly appreciated. thx.

 

are you trying to get it to pass emissions? if so then you will probably need a diagram. if not there is very little of that crap you actually need. all that is needed is a vacuum line from the distributor to a vacuum outlet on the carb that only has vacuum when the motor is reved. you will also need to run a vacuum line from the vacuum tree on your intake to the vacuum canister "under" the drivers side front fender ( not the canister in the engine compartment thats for fuel tank vapor ) then one from the canister to the vacuum line that goes through the firewall. that makes your vents and a/c work properly. the large vacuum line that goes to the break booster needs to be hooked to the intake vacuum tree. the vacuum line that goes to the tranny modulator needs constant vacuum. the rest of that crap is junk and can be plugged. sick
