What should I do to beef up my 2.8? I'm thinking piston rings I'm thikn' only .02 diff though cause that will be so much and I want ot be able to run this motor on the streets and use reg fuel...... I know I eventualy want to get new conecting rods. and cams ext to make sure I can handle all the horses I'm gona be pushing lol.... No really I'm thikn'n about mak'n my 2.8 stronger because my insurance is SO HIGH for a v8! Hmm any other sugestions? Thanks Nick

 

Hey guy great for being diffrent.i think go for it but you are going to spend to much money and be un happy.i think u should find a doner 4.3 s10 and use the stuff on camaro mounts tranny springs what ever fits .why the 4.3 its a v6 u want and its like a small block sorta and you can get the power out off it easyer than a 2.8

 

Oxymoron,,,,2.8 and lots of horsepower can not be used in the same sentence.[sm=chattypair.gif]

 

Leave that engine alone, you will wind up spending a bunch of money & get little in return.
