Rough Sounding
 

I'm new to owning a camaro. i have a 95 3.4 v6 with 112k. Somtimes when it is idling or when i hop on it it sounds really rough.. I'm use to driving newer vehicles. Is my camaro sappose to sound like this? if not what should i do? thanks

Following the advice from the guys on her I replaced the plugs and wires, and it runs much better. My main problem though was one of the fuel injectors was unplugged...

But no, it shouldn't, and on the passenger side, if the plug wires come unclipped, some of them can fall onto the exhaust, or egr, and get melted.

no i havn't done any tune ups to it yet. what should i do first? plugs wires?

Plugs and wires if you don't know how old they are. Oil change, and air filter change as well.

Might also try putting a container of fuel injector cleaner in it. Seafoam or Techron, both are good stuff.

After you get those basic ones out of the way, you should do the slightly more tricky ones, transmission fluid, and gear oil.

changed the oil today and it sounds better already.. but this morning my "abs inop" light came on so i turned my car off and went to start it again and it didnt want to start till i pumped the pedal

The ABS is a separate issue I would think.

You should not have to pump the pedal (and it shouldn't do any good) to start it. It's fuel injected, so when the car is off that does nothing.

Does it only run rough when it is cold?

Make sure all the fuel injectors are plugged in. Pull a plug and look at it, see what it's condition is.

You just gotta narrow it down to fuel, spark, or air. One or more is not working quite right.

PS, you probably should just replace the plugs and wires anyways, it will be like $25 for both the wire set, and the ac delco plugs from autozone. And you will probably rip wires trying to get them off, so just replace them, and remember to grease them!
