For a 1987 camaro iroc 350 which performance camshaft brand and model do you guys reccomend? I want fair to good idle high low end torque, 6000 + rpm redline. thanks dudes

 

You can give Compcams a call and talk to one of their helpful techs. They'll take your application as well as any add-on perf. parts and your goal then give you your options. 1-800-999-0853

 

Good idle and 6000+ RPM performance are a contradiction. If you want top end power you will need a cam with fairly long duration, which means the idle is going to be rough. However; one person's idea of a good idle is another person's idea of a bad idle. But as sewerrat mentioned, call the tech service at the cam company, tell them what you want, tell them exactly what you have (don't lie) and they can spec a cam out for you.
