Default Oil Pressure sensor location

Oil Pressure sensor location-img_0015.jpg I have a chevy 350, and was just wondering where the oil pressure sensor goes, there is a threaded hole about 2" to 3" above the oil filter is that where it goes?

Thanks

it should be directly above the oil filter, but on top of the block near the distributor, you will be ably to see it from the driver's side, this is where it should be as far as pre-1990, after that I am not sure

is there a difference in sensor between a gauge and a light? I got a new sensor yesterday but it looks nothing like the one that came with the autometer gauge (it's 2 short and fat to fit )

you can use the threaded hole above the oil filter(should be same size and thread) if you want to keep the light and add and aftermarket gauge.

Default What does an oil pressure light mean?

We were driving about 150 miles and after climbing a steep grade our oil pressure light came on. We stopped and found a good level spot and checked the oil and it was at the right level and looked good.
