Hello everyone, I just purchased a 1995 Z28 with the lt1 350ci engine. The engine has a knocking on the left (Drivers side). It sounds like its on the top end of the motor so I pulled valve cover checked rods springs and rockers. everything looks good.. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Oh yea , Sometimes with the knocking sound i get a squealing sound like a belt makes ,no its not the surpentine belt i made sure . just thought someone has had expeirence with this b4

 

Can you hear it through the pan or is it up top?

 

Is it a metal knocking or a exhaust manifold leak kinda sound?

 

I've seen many flywheels that have cracked make that kind of noise.
