Hey Andross, is the engine sold under the Blueprint Enginesor Marshall Engines brand name? The reason I ask is I had a customer in the shop about 3 months ago having problems with one of these 383 engines. The cam wiped a lobe after approx. 1000 miles and Marshall engines wanted to just install another camshaft. After talking to the owner about the amount of metal that was passed throughout the engine when the cam went, he demanded that they replace the entire engine. We sent the engine back to Marshall with a few hidden paint marks on it to see if they really rebuilt it and guess what, it came back with all of the paint marks still intact. When we removed the MSD distributor cap for shipping we noticed that the cylinder terminals inside the cap had been damaged at one time. When the engine came back it had the same cap on it with a little touch up work done to it with a dremmel tool. If you are getting one of these engines be aware of thier less than honest warranty policies.
