Based off the Suzuki Hayabusa 4-cyl, it's crazy compact and has huge performance potential...
[ul][*]75 degree odd fire V8[*]2.8 LITER, 170 cu. in. displacement[*]84mm Bore X 63mm Stroke[*]4 cams, 32 valvesvia internal silent chain[*]530mmwide x 485mm long x 530mm high[*]400HP @ 10,000 rpm with stock street cams[*]245 ft-lbs torque @ 7500 rpm[*]200 lbs engine weight[*]Billet nitrided steel 180 degree crank[*]4340 Carrillo H-beam rods[*]Billet 6061-T6 aluminum crankcase[*]Dry sump oil system with 4 stage pump[*]7.25" or 5.5" Twin disc clutch[*]DTA S80 full sequential ECU[*]Unique cylinder offset and cam drive arrangement yields a compact design- Patented [/ul]And thats with stock heads, cams and valvetrain, naturally aspirated.
Would be insane for a track camaro, but it dosent come cheap. The 2.8 Liter version with ecu, injection system, oil pump, flywheel, starter and alternator is under $30k.

Why not? I said on a TRACK car, not a drag or street one. Maybe it dosent have much cubes but it should make about 5-600hp NA, at what 12-13,000rpm with bore & stroke, cams, headwork and adequate valvetrain? Thats 90ies F1 Country, and imagine adding twin turbos. And i think of all this in a 3rd or 4th gen, anyone putting this in a 1st or 2nd gen should be sterilized...
