help with 305 build up

i have a 1981 camaro with 305/350 set up. my only upgrades are:
-headers
-2 1/2 true dual exhaust
-flowmasters
-rpm intake non egr
-600 cfm edelbrock carb 2barrel
-dual electric fans
-k&n filter
-minor shift kit
engine was rebuilt a year ago by my dad so i dont wanna swap it for a 350 but i wanna get the most hp out of it. I do not know much about the iternals. but i plan on a new cam, roller rocker arms, valve springs, stall and my friend is giving me some 3.42s gears. my question is what would be the best cam i can install with my set up, for the most hp and tq? and what stall would be best? this is my daily driver so i would like to be able to drive it to my gf house lol
Thank You

The ricer solution: Add NOS man! Oh and a huge *** spoiler!

If your looking for a good camshaft my guess would to see about getting your hands on this application called Desktop Dyno, fill in your engine's specifics, and then change the camshaft variables to match the specs of the camshaft in question and, presto, your estimate on HP and torque are graphed right before your eyes. Other than that, I don't have much experience with different camshafts.

Thanks for the reply I will try that. Does anyone know if I can run with a camshaft and a stock stall? Or should I just save up and install all together?

Sure you can, especially since it sounds like you don't want to go with a lumpy cam.
And what do you mean by a 305/350 setup?
I found D.D. 2003 online as a free download, just look around.
If you can't get your hands on it, I can run some numbers using different cam profiles.

i have another question i came across some 350 performer heads would these bolt on with no problems to my 305? im not worried about valve spring, roller rockers etc..

I'm not too sure but I think the water passages wont line up properly.

You shouldnt have a problem with the water passages the problem I would see is you will probably be losing compression I think the 305 heads are 58cc but you should check on that, the other issue is valve shrouding and/or valve clearance because the 350 has a bigger bore(but the same stroke as a 305) you have more room to utilize bigger valves in a 350. Research out the heads a little you might be better off with the tpi 305 heads (just a thought).
