Ya I bought the heads already assembled and everything so they should be right i think that the studs are just cheap

If you are breaking studs, It's a mechanical interference. Whether everything " should fit " or not, You probably have either a coil spring bind or Valve spring retainer to Valve guide interference. Better check it out before You irreversable damage.

RE: Head problems

Are you using roller rockers or the factory stamped rocker arms?

You very well could be slamming the end of the slot of the rocker arm into the stud if they are stamped slotted ones. Depending on the size of your cam that is.

They are roller rockers, the problem is im not breaking them at high end im breaking them when the motor is just sitting and ideling so everything is working and not binding. I talked to the guy that did all of the block work and he said that they are just bad studs so i dont no?

How about more details, cam lift /type, spring size, head brand type, stud size and type, rocker brand/model and ratio

Ok they are Dart- Iron Eagle heads. they are 64cc chamber/ 230cc intake, 2.08 int/ 1.60 exh valves. They have a 1.550 springs on they and they came fully assembled. they have a 3/8 stud on them with a 1.5 roller rockers (comp) then i have a 510 lift cam (comp). So here is the thing i called dart and they told me that the springs are too heavy for a hyd roller cam so they sent me smaller spring..

RE: Head problems

I have just about the same head I wouldnt think the heavyness of the springs would break the studs that easy I thought they came with 7/16 studs. There is reportedly an issue with the pro comp rocker hiting the spring cap on the 1.550 springs. I have the 1.450 spring and it dosnt seem to be an issue. The problem I had with the heads is pushrod interferance with the runners they are really close. I also had to chage the pushrod length.
