Well, my transmission is sorta dying on me, so i as i was surfing craigslist,I came across a wrecked corvette (engine and tranny still fine) for under 5k; as well as other LS1/corvette engines. Now my question is: Is it possible to swap out my current 305ci with the stock A4 transmission out of my 91 camaro and replace it with a corvette ls1 or ls2 with its 6-speed transmission?

If so, what sort of modifications are needed ( such as, will the transmission fit and the shifter come up in the right place, or will i need to modify the engine compartment for the engine to fit?


If you have had any experiences in this certain sort of swap, or have heard something from other people, please enlighten me .

 

it should drop right in the only fabbing will be the tranny crossmember. shifter should be in the same spot distances from front to back of motor are the same so it will sit right on the motor mounts.
