hey i have a 87 z28 and its got a 5.0l small block 305. it always started good. when i first bought it 4 months ago. but then i took off the stock exhaust manifold and put on some headers. i had to take off the spark plug wires to put on the headers. when i went to put the spark plug wires back on. i lost the litle sheet that told me where each one went and on what cylinder. so i looked online and put it to this firing order- http://www.classiccarauto.com/impala...istributor.pngand then tried to start it.. it dident start, and i tryed alot. so i looked around for the sheet that had my old firing order on it. andfound it. so i switched the order back to that firing order. and it still wont start... it dosent sound like its firing at all. i need help bad. i think it might have something to do with a certain piston being in a certain spot or something, and im only 15 and dont understand it. so if some1 can exsplain to me what they think i should do.. it would be VERY happy. i wana hear my open headers lol.

well first make sure all connections are good and u might have a bad pick up coil but most likely not.
and check by the starter to see if you the wire are still hooked up cuz headers are right there and maybe it got pulled probaly sumthing simple
does it start to turn over or is there nothing?

 

ya it turns over fine, just no firing.
