305 or 350?

Is the car Carb or TBI or TPI? Either way, if you are pulling the motor, replace it with a 350. Rebuilding a 305 is a lot of work and money for not much end result.

can't agree more.

don't be afraid of compression ratio, I'm at 10.5:1 and run pump gas all day, just make sure its 91/93 octane and you'll be fine

you can build a pissed off 305 for the power range your looking in, and have some mileage to boot, ill get yeah a vid of the 305.

mine is TPI...i might just end up buying a crate cuz i dont have no where to work on the engine nor the money for someone else to do it for me.. but is the 305 long block or short block?

trust us when we tell you, spend the extra money for the 350, the performance gain is warranted

since mine is TPI would i have to get a 350 thats TPI aswell? most of the rebuilt ones are all carb

You can use any 350 non-vortec motor.

If U want to keep the TPI U would have to get larger injectors and a chip.

If U want it to be fast U would rip the TPI off and go with a carb.
