1.5 to 1.6 ratio rockers
hi everyone.
i'm new to the forum and have a question re rocker arms.
i've got a 74 camaro and have installed camel hump heads that came from a 66 327 corvette motor. i'm currently using rocker arms with a 1.5 ratio and would like to install the 1.6 ratio rocker arms on.
i was told that i'd have to do some machining on the heads in order to install the 1.6 rocker arms.
is that true or is it just a bolt on procedure with no machining necessary?
thanks in advance for the help and advice.

RE: 1.5 to 1.6 ratio rockers
If you going to use the stamped metal ones with elongated stud holes, you should have no problems. If you are going to use the fully rollerirzed ones, you should talk to the people that made them before you buy. If the cam has a big lift, you may run into valve spring bind, very bad theing, so be sure to check things out.

The other thing you need to check out is the pushrod clearance as it comes through the head turn the engine over and make sure the push rod doesnt bind. I ran the 270 cam in a 350 I liked it.
