testing injectors? what volt should i get?

I need to test my injectors on my 96 camaro, its a 3800 v6 5speed manual, what volt should they read to be good? I'm trying to find out what's causing my p0300 code, random multiple cylinder misfire, and it is only noticable under heavier throttle, already replaced plugs, wires, coil packs, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator, so ill test the injectors, and from there I guess camshaft positioning sensor... anyway anyhelp on testing the injectors?

you need a noid light to see if the injectors are being told to fire. a pluged or malfunctioning injector could be doing what you are looking for but most times will cause loss of power and lean or rich condition on one side or the other. not that costly to have them cleaned and flow tested by an injector shop. sent mine in and were all flowing under what is called for one was way under.

P0300 is usually due to an ignition problem (ICM in your case) or a lean fuel mixture. Have you checked the fuel pressure when the engine is operating at WOT an under load?

no i havnt checked the fuel pressure yet, i disconected the maf sensor today and the car ran exactly the same, not worse or better, should i try replacing this? shouldnt it make a difference normally when disconected? i think ill try picking one up tomorrow

If disconnecting the MAF made no difference, then there is a very good chance that the MAF is good. Check fuel pressure & ICM.

ended up being a bad injector! i brought it into my mechanic! i tested 4 of the 6 injectors, they all tested good, checked the volts coming in through the electrical conectors, and checked the resistence in the injectors, all were the same around 10.?? so when i got to the last back two on the drivers side i got lazy and didnt test them because I didnt feel like removing the coilpacks and my gf was nagging me to stop working on it and get inside, well i listened to them with a screw driver, sounded fine, turns out cylinder 6 was only at 6 ohms while the rest were 10 something, now its going to be atleast $400 for the labor and everything just because i took a short cut and got lazy! ha dont do anything half ***!!!
