Default Need help now!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so i went out to my 96 camaro rs this morning to drive to work. It turned over alittle longer than usual but started up. I pulled it out of the garage and when i got out and shut the door it started to die on me and didnt want to idol. After it died it woulnt start back up. I usually hear that buzzing sound that comes from the fuel pump when i turn the ignition on, and after i tried to start it again i didnt hear anything. I was very low on fuel, and after it died i added a gallon or so. Im thinking it is the fuel pump. I dont know why it would go out my car only has 93k on it. I think im going to try and drop the tank and see whats wrong with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It could be a few things, with the low fuel you could have cloged the filter with dirt from the bottom of the tank...1 gallon of gass was not enough in the tank, and there could be air in the lines........start with the fuel filter and add more gas...it will take awhile to start cuz it has to get all the air out of the lines.

I have a blazer..i know different , but she runs it out of gas at least once a month and I cant hear our pump till the air is out of the line..but a filter should only be a few bucks,so cross your fingers and hopt the problem stops there.

Well i just pulled the old filter off and there was like dirt coming out of it. So im pretty sure thats what it was. I hope that i can just throw a new one on and put a couple gallons of gas in it and it should be good. So to get the air out of the lines do i just keep turning it over, or just turn the ignition on but not so its cranking? Thanks again.

Well i put the new filter on and then i started crankin. How long should it take? The battery is like dead now so i have a charger on it. Should i be pushing in that little stem thing on the fuel rail? I prolly cranked it for like 30 seconds at least idk prolly more.
