Default How do i format a computer getting ready to sell?

I am selling a Windows Vista Computer, and am just wondering how to clean up/format the hard drive properly.
I've done some google searches and i'm pretty sure my computer has a Windows CD-Image file on it?
Well anyways, how can i format the computer while keeping the OS on it?

If you have a recovery CD, then you most times can use it to "restore to factory settings". That should wipe any old files on it, but it's not as "secure" as a low-level format. If you have an older XP CD (or even download something like Ubuntu) you can do that. I'm not sure if a native Vista CD will be able to do that, though I expect it should...

If you can get your hands on a win vista install disc, you can reinstall using the serial number of your copy of vista, either on a sticker on your computer or get under my computer properties. That will erase everything on your computer and reinstall a fresh copy of vista.
