Cant figure it throttle sputters occasionally

Hey guys, Help, my 2002 Camaro SS Coupe was doing fine, fantastic matter of fact, no major problems or repairs, then my 17 yr. old drove it for 3 weeks and aargh anyway it was running pretty scary and I pulled a bunch of codes mis-fve-ccm-cat-eva-025-htr-egr-po305-po102 ok so we knew some of what we'd find (the gas cap was left off hence the eva) anyway replaced plugs and wires, starter, radiator (slo leak), cleaned all around mass air flow center, got it down to the one remaining PO102 code.

The symptoms im having are very hard to define as coming from the air flow. The car runs wonderfully and purrs with all those new parts plus oil and all fluids Basically the 100,000 mile service is what we did.

Anyway after car has warmed up for the day, considerably warmed if i accelerate from 50 mph and really get into it, the car starts to accelerate then stops, thinks about it then punches it and goes. You can actually feel it when the punch it hits as not being the one you asked for, almost light a transmission problem, but never seen a transmission code and weve been checking them for 2-3 months, while my Camaro sits, gathering dust, only driven to check for PO102.

The check engine light comes on when this happens and the code everytime reads PO102

It will also happen from a stop to a rolling cruise, however you have to really put some weight on the gas pedal.

My husband thinks we should try replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor? does this sound right?

May want to clean the MAF before going for a new one. If you are using a K&N filter, there is the possibility that excessive oil got to the MAF and fouled things up, so cleaning may also help here.
