Default 94 Z28. OBD I OR OBD II??

I just read an article about the GM PORT INJECTION in the tech giudes and it said that in 94 the first OBD II or Eeprom were first used in the Corvette and f-body's? If this is correct then do I have OBD II in my 94 Z? I tried using the OBD I from a local auto parts store because that's what I was told I have and it didn't work. That would clear up some things for me and I'll just have to get the OBD II so I can trouble shoot. Can anyone verify this for me? Thanks for the help.

Either '94 or '95 had some OBD I with OBD II ports.

Ok so do you use an OBD I to trouble shoot or a OBD II? This is what the article said " The LT1 was also introduced in 92, as the basic engine in the Corvette. It appeard in the Firebird, Z28(F body cars), Caprice, Buick and Cadillac in 93. 1993 was the last year for Eprom's in these cars. Opti-Spark also made it's entry on the LT1 engine in 92. In 94, OBD II or Eeprom, computers were first used in the Caorvette and F-body cars. This was the 1st year for Sequential port Injection in these cars." From what I read it does not mention the OBD I having OBD II ports. The article aslo says that the 94-97 LT1's used the same type of PCM if I'm reading this right. Still confused.
