Why does this stupid message keep popping up?

Every so often I get this message popping up that tells me to read it, or read it later. Regardless of whether I read it or not, it keeps popping up. Isn't there some way to ackonwledge I've read it, so the darn thing will stop?
Here's the message:

Internet Brands, Inc. owns and operates this website. On June 12, 2012 we updated our Privacy Policy; please read it now or later.

I noticed it too. I assume that they recently updated the privacy policy and they want everyone to read it, so for the time being its a global message most likely set up to run for a certain time period. What that period is, I dont know because since our usual go-to person within IB has been reassigned it seems I'm not given the information about site updates until I send emails out asking why something was changed without notifying me or asking first.

Its entirely likely that EVERY IB owned site has the same message, which is hundreds of sites. So to narrow down who put it there may be difficult, but I will ask how long it will run for.

No big deal who put it there, just thought they'd set it up so you could read it and check a box, so you wouldn't keep seeing it and having to close it again.

Mine hasn't popped up again since I clicked on it. That's on 2 different computers and testing it with Firefox, IE, and Chrome.
Maybe your browser isn't remembering you already looked at it?
