hey i havent looked into it but i was wondering if there was a way to get txt alerts when someone replies to a thread that im subscribed(theres not always a computer near by) to and if not i think its a good idea for some one to come up with

 

Yes there is. Click on the "User CP" towards the upper left of the page. In the left pane under Settings & Options, click on Edit Options. In the Messaging & Notification box you can change your "Default Thread Subscription Mode".

 

that will only email him.

we dont support SMS messaging right now. but if you get emails via your phone you could use that.

 

Ahhh, right. I can get notifications on my Blackberry, but it is via email. It's become too second-nature I guess.
Email is better than nuttin, unless you can't get it.

if there was it would have to be a VB update, but as far as I know they don't have it yet
