stock head unit install..... power-batt ground-no more then 2-3 ft. remote- radio fuse a signal box for rear 6 1/2 to splice into the line, on the other side of the box there will be a red+white, hook up the rca's to this. this gets the signal. bypassing the stockstuff. allyour monsoon will work fine, you added a totally different system. if it still dont work, did you check the levels of amp and the signal box? the signal box may be bad too. thats your prob.

ok.... i still have a question as to what you are trying to say because the power is hooked up, the ground is okay, and the rca cables are hooked up to the back of the head unit....( iforgot to mention i dont have a stock head unit)...but what do you mean by.... "a signal box for rear 6 1/2 to splice into the line"???

thought it was a stock head unit. its a blown rca part of the head unit or a blown part of the rca on the amp. hence your not getting a signal but everything else works.

There are a couple things that you can do to check and see what's going on. The first thing that I would do, is check all the wires that go from the sub to your amp. You said that the amp's light it turning on, I had a bit of a problem awhile ago. The lights would turn on, but it would turn on from the remote wire's power. The fuse that came off my battery looked good, but I had to use a voltmeter to test it, and even though it looked good, it was bad. There is a way to test and see if it's your RCA's. If you have a small DVD player, run an extension cord out to your car, put in a music CD, and plug your RCA's into the DVD players outputs(make sure your cd player is on, and if there is sound, then it's bad RCA in your CD player, if there is no sound, I would check and make sure the RCA's are good, and if they are good, then I would check your settings on the amp. I would set the gain in the middle, just to see if you get any response out of it. Make sure that your amp is set to LPF, which means all low frequencies get sent to the sub, and make sure your Filer is set in the middle(Just to test, you can fine tune everything later once you know where your problem is.) If none of that works, then I would hook up a house speaker up to your amp, and if that doesn't work, it would have to be your amp. Hope this helps.

The signal box he is referring to is whats known as a line out convertor. Not a "signal box". I can't blame you for being confused after that post. Good to see you got it fixed, Enjoy!
