White Face Guages?
 

I am looking for a pair of white face/glow face guages for my 94' Z28.

I have only found one company who makes them. Am I limited to that one company?

Has anyone installed one of these sets? Is is fairly easy and how does it look when complete?

My friend put one in his truck and all he had to do was pull the dash off. also check ebay for better deals

Those look like NuImages... The place that I have heard is "the best" is Macewen and I am planning on ordering from them. But, that is just word of mouth and I haven't actually installed them. There is a big thread on here somewhere that someone outlined the steps to actually do the install and it doesn't seem too tough, just time consuming to make sure you get it done right;)

Gauges are easy to install. Though if they say youabsolutely haveto remove the needles to install, I wouldn't get them. Removing the needles will lead to future threads like "My gauges are reading wrong, how to fix". Most kits allow you to slide the needles through the holes.

StanGT you are the man when it comes to gauges. It seems like you have a reply in every thread about these :DDo you know if you have to remove the needle for the Macewens?

Their website says no needle removal necessary. I've done gauges on a few of my vehicles, and my friend's truck, so I know it's not as hard as it may look.

I have heard in other places that some white faces are too thick and cause the needles to "stick". Heard any bad news about the Macs on that? Lol thank you for all your advice

I think the only time you may run into that problem, is with the Indiglo gauges that have power going to them. Thoughthe Indiglo typeare what I used on my vehicles, and had no such problems. The Macewen kit is just an overlay, so I don't believe they'll be a problem.

I put the white gauges on my car with blue leds I personally think they look great. Like everyone said it is difficult to line the needles back up. So here is how you do it.
1.Let car cool down, dont do it right after you have driven it
2. Get a pen and peice of paper
3. Start car
4. Look at all the gauges make note of where everything is. I.E if you idle at 600 rpm make sure you right down 600 rpm
5. Turn off and remove guage cluster
6. Now the fun part. Take off needles, and remove old ugly overlay. The gauge overlay you buy will be sticky on the back, this isn't enough so buy some spray on adhesive and spray down the gauge cluster. Unpeal the new overlay and line it up. If you dont spray the extra adhesive on you will be cussing yourself after the car has set out in the warm sun and is now wrinkled. Trust me on this...lets just say I learned the hard way
7. If you got new leds install them
8. Do a reverse of step 5
9. Turn car on, and look at ur paper puttin the needles back in place.
10. Go to your local mall and show the ladies your pimp new setup
