I know absolutely nothing about how to install a system or what i should buy.. i have a friend that is going to install it for me.. i just need to know what to buy. I only want to spend a max of $200 on the stuff since it will be free to install.. please help.

 

You are going to need to go with a speaker/amp combo package for that price. Just look in google shopping there are a few. You will probably have a hard time getting those boxes in the trunk space.

 

Do you have a cd player yet? If not there goes your 200 dollars right there.

 

if youre expecting an entire system for $200... well you better just get to liking your stock system.

 

walmart will be your freind witht his one, then it will be your enemy when you crank it up and say **** i wish i saved my money and got at least something decent

 

buy poineer speakers and subs they wont let you down and are fairly cheat

 

at walmart poineer subs are 60 bucks a peice, which is cheap for amazing subs

 

oh ya and i would get some 6x9 speakers because they have really good trebble and bass

 

if u want some good gear cheap, go to local police auctions, no joke, i bought 2 mtx 7500's in a sick ported box, with a mtx thunderamp, for 65 $$$$, it was LOUD! but with 200 trying to buy something new.... ur not gonna get any quality, (i dont no about pioneer, but u could try, camaro76 seems to like them). if ur town has police siezed electronics autcions, try there, they get rid of stuff cheap. sometimes still in the package for a tenth of retail

 

this might sound really crappy but try goin to a yard sale or flea market you can find some really great buys at places like that just make sure it works before you buy anythin lol
