I have an 01 z28 with stock monsoon sound system and the reception on the radio is horrible. I removed the head unit and checked all connections, its all good. What could be causing this? I've had vehicles 20 years old with radios that never break. Any suggestions would be apreciated. Thanks.

 

i would probably check the actual antenna cable that is run to the back for any breaks. It sounds like there is a weak point in the anteena that is causing bad reception.

 

Sounds good, thanks. I'll be installing an entire new system over the next week so It definately couldnt hurt to check out the wire.
