aftermarket radio wont turn off help!!!!!
 

hey i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a problem i am having with my radio....it just started today... the damn thing wont turn off..keys out door's open but its still going....i have to pull the face off of it just so my battery wont drain

it worked fine before? i was going to say you had it wired to a perminant hot wire, but i it worked right before that may not be the problem. can u give us some info on ur car?

yeah it worked before just fine....after market speakers no subs....car is a 94 v6 3.4. i havent messed with any electrical stuff under the dash...

the most likely possibility is that your ignition switch is broken, its not a problem of the radio at all. or, it is somehow getting all of its power from its perm hot line, but that isnt very likely i dont think. What is probably happening is that when you turn ur key the accessory circuit doesnt open .
