Default Yet another "Will it fit?" thread

So, I'm convinced on the new wheels I want to get for the RS. I'm pretty sold on these:

Sport Muscle ZR Machined w/Black Accent

Problem is, I can't find the correct size tire for the wheel. I currently have 245/45/R16 (Pretty sure that's stock size, though I'm not looking at it so I could be wrong). My question is, what tire size should I look into for this wheel? The stock width of 245, or can I go up to 265-275 range? Not very familiar with tire sizes and how the numbers work

If you look farther down the page to "Important Notes," it says, "17x9 ET50+ or 17x9.5 ET48/49 works front and rear with 275/40-17." So I guess there's your answer.

But the description has the size of the rim as 17x8.5. And I just double-checked my tire size, it's currently 245/50R16. Inside the door says recommended is actually 235/45R16

Those should fit fine, you will just need new tires. 17x9 is the size of SS/Ws6 wheels that people use on v6's quite a bit.

I guess my title was a bit misleading. I'm sure these will fit, I'm more looking for the correct tire size to go with these. I'm assuming 265/35R17 should be ok? Also, it's going to be the same rim all around, but I wanted wider tires in the rear. I was think 245/40/R17 in front and 265/35/R17 in the rear. Just want to make sure they will fit and still look good

Do the same size all the way around, it will be worth it so you can rotate your tires more easily. 275 is usually standard width on a 9 or 9.5 rim. You can go with a smaller one, like a 255 or 265 to save some money. Also, a wider tire doesn't change the stance/look much unless the offset is low. 55mm is the maximum offset these cars can use without modification, the rims you linked are 49mm, so while not the most ideal from a looks standpoint, certainly usable and functionable.

stock tire is about 26 inches so if you stay in that general area of hight it will look good. i think mine are 25 3/4.

I looked there, and there are some great styles, but what bothers me is those rims are Corvette-styled rims. It would bother me knowing they're essentially just knock-offs. Although, those C6 Z06 black and red rims look pretty sweet. Would the 17x9.5-inch rims fit without rolling or BFH mod?
