so I have 245/55/16 (back)tires on my 95 Camaro but I have been told I can go up to 255 on my stock rims, and also shops seem not to have any of the 245/55/16 in stock . 
any ideas, or suggestions? thanks!!!!

try going to a 245/50/16 OR a 255/50/16
it will give you many more options for tires that you actually want. Also, its a minimal size difference so you won't run into too many issues with speedo calibration
