Where is the fuel pump relay?
Where is the fuel pump relay located on a 1994 Camaro 3.4?
|
Under the dash but I don't know if it's the left or right side. I'm guessing the left side near the fuse panel. Look for a relay that has gray, green, red, and black wires going to it.
I checked my Haynes Repair Manual and can't believe that they left that info out completely! |
I found it. It's under the foot rest/kick panel on the driver's side of the car. 5 screws and pull the sucker off and it's out in plain sight right under the foot rest.

Glad you found it. I wrote the location on the inside front cover of my Haynes manual. It'll come in handy some day I'm sure.

Yup. Maybe this thread will help someone in the future :)

you do know that a fuel pump relay will not cause low fuel pressure right? A relay will either work or it wont. A fuel pump on the other hand can still pump but not produce enough pressure to keep a car running through all throttle positions. I would check fuel flow for your acceleration issue before I would look into a relay. Relays are RARELY the cause of failures. I get people all the time in my store trying to buy one and I test it for them and I think I find 1 in 100 relays that are actually bad. Dont waste your $$$ on a relay.

^ I didn't lol. It was worth checking it tho. Thanks Massey

Good I hate people who throw money at a car trying to find the problems. Oh and I dont return parts that were used for diagnostics LOL. Yea my boss backs me up on that too, I love it. So what have you found so far causing your issue?

Well I just did a fuel pressure test...... and....... well........ while the car was running it was bouncing at 20-25psi :(

LOL yea i found the other thread. I posted some ideas there, go take a look.
