Whats wrong with her?
Okay so i dont know much about cars but one of my buddies think i have a broken or leakin gas valve or something... so i was wondering if you guys could help me out a little here. Lately when i start up my car it always smells like gas as if it was leaking or something and sometimes my exhaust will make distribute uneven flows of air as if i had cams but i do not. Also when im idling in drive the steering wheel is so shaky and sometimes my exhaust sounds like its 'rattling' alot. So at this point my car is not very reliable at the moment and sometimes im afraid it might break down!

Id say start by making sure all your plugs are getting spark..and it will help the more experienced guys help you if you let us know what size engine you have and or what year..you should be able to check if the plugs are getting spark by pulling them and seeing if they are soaked with gas. When was your last tune up?

Take it to a mechanic, You do not have the tools or the knowledge to attemp the repair. The problem you decribed can be cause on any one of a hundred things. We call it a driveabilty issue. If you had basic auto repair knowledge we might have a chance of helping you but these (driveabilty) types of problem can be tuff for a mechanic with the car right infront of them.
From your first post I don't think you know enough to know what your hearing so you can explain it correctly. I have had customes explain problems over the phone for 20 minute and I had no idea what was wrong with their car but when they showed up I knew what was wrong with the car before they even shut it off.

I'm with Gorn, get it to a shop. No way to tell from how you described. Not trying to put you down, but a mechanic with years of experience is far more apt to determine the issue, and as Gorn said, even mechanics can have trouble finding the cause.

do V6s have an opti?? i thought only V8s did.... and again without know year motor size etc no one could even begin to guess and even if we did guess without the mechanical know how you cant start the trial and error process
