I, for one, would never bash a V6! This is my 7th one. It's those stupid V5s that tick me off!

I havent been on the forums... much at all, im always getting downsized because i have a v6, but hey, i always tell them. "just because i have a V6 doesnt mean its not powerful" yeah its not the big bad V8, but i could care less! Im glad i found people respecting the V6's here.

the 3.8 has 200 HP

And no Im not bashing the V6. I have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville 3.8 liter that has 205 hp and gets 16/26 mpg. I think the 3.8 liter II is one of the best most reliable engines chevy has ever built. So buy what you want. I personaly would rather have the extra 85 to 125 HP and lose the few MPG.

It is all about the pride of ownership, if it is what you want, go for it. There is nothing wrong with a V-6 Camaro, millions depend on them everyday.

 

thats rite. but alot of the newer model v6's are comin with 300hp or better

 

I know a kid who bashes on my v6 every chance he gets. I think its cause he had a 3rd gen and couldnt afford Insurance and had to sell it before it even got on the road. I always remind him of that.
