vat system grr

Default vat system grr

hey so i drove home last nite everything great i get in this morning nothing no click no nothing all the lights come on radio but no click no turn over so first thing do check my fuses nope there good second thing do is disconnect battery and reconnect nope that wasnt it so i try bypass it says 7.50 ohms radio shack dont have anything grr so i get a 10 ohms still failed no suprise any help would be good i dont have security light on but this isnt my first camaro and that is usually a starter b a vat system or c who knows so help would be good so i can go to work

Your your car an auto or 5 speed manny? Could be a position sensor like the clutch position sensor or the safety start switch for the auto tranny.

The resistor value you mentioned is way off, and it will never work. There are 15 possible values ranging from 402 Ohm to 11,800 Ohm. Check this link to see how to properly measure the key resistor pellet.

yea well using the right resistor didnt get it to start either grr u just hook up the purple and white wire right not the ones on the slide with the orange sleeve over them

its just frustration man have car work great then just one nite u park it and next day nothing and u spend all week banging ur head off the wall asking why wont u start ur vat system is bypassed ur getting gas to the engine ur gettting spark why wont u turn over u know u wanna instead just get a click under the dash the car ugh

If your getting gas then it's not your vat system. Vats doesn't allow for your fuel pump to run.

idk if im getting gas im getting the sound of the sprayers in the engine or w/e there called but its like u turn the key on and u get radio and everything u turn it to start u here click once under the dash and nothing no turning over no nothing

Can you here the fuel pump prime? Your starter might be the problem. Try jumping the solenoid.

hey new here but not to cars try starting it in nuetral bypasses the safety switch simple easy but overlooked most the time
