Default Vaccum Line

Okay.. So the other night I pulled in to a gas station, filled up, and got back in the car.. Start it and it was running REALLY REALLY rough, actually sounded like it was a V8 with a MEAN cam.. so i popped the hood, and there was a HUGE vaccum leak.. it was a vac. hose that came off of the throttle body area.. It's pretty big too.. its about half an inch in diameter.. What is it for? what does it do? If needed, I can get a picture.. but i dont have access to a camera right now

Follow the line & see what it leads to. Probably the brake booster.

the brake booster will make the car run like that?
I dont think it is.. cuz i drove it a few feet with it off and the brakes worked just fine.. as mentioned in another thread in the tech section, it goes in to a plastic heat shield..

Does your car idle down real low and then shut off.....if u r not giving it gas....if so then it could be your PCV valve.....and your lebow to the PCV valve....
