ahh dont listen to them lol,

DO some simple things, they go a long way,
NGK copper plugs,
fuel filter,
i would say new air filter.... but i dont trust the oiled, reusable ones,
FREE ram air mod..
do a once over of the car,

then

Get your self a CAI, and if you send me a PM id be happy to give you some ideas for a cheap one if you can score an SLP lid ONLY if you have a 1998 firebird or camaro. let me know what year it is bud,

and i have an easy route to go if your scrapt for cash and want a nice exhaust. though its not for everyone...loud.

if you got any more questions i will be happy to get you a huge list of links for yeah.

To the OP... Not to be rude or anything but those of us who have been here for a minute see your question at least once a week as a newbie's first post. This gets to be anoying when there are 3 threads on the first page of the forum you posted this in about upgrading the V6 and plenty of stickys as well on this page and the main 4th gen page. Just look around a little and see what you can find, then ask questions. We need to know what you want to do with the car... If we dont then the snow plow post is very legit. Tell us about the car and what you are looking to do and we will better be able to direct you to what you need.

Sarcasm really? If you don't want to help the guy then that's your choice but don't post up bad advice!!!

um i didnt really think it was bad advice or that he was being sarcastic... forget your glasses freez?

mrfreez 01-14-2011 08:25 PM

Well if this was legit then please accept my apology.

However NGK copper plugs, isn't a good idea for the car. The 3.8L requires iridium plugs. Copper will cause driveability issues.

well that part i can see, but as far as quick upgrades to things that also help reliability is a good start
