I gotta say the turning capabilities are awesome on Camaro's. I have a v6 and use the great turning to my advantage. I've been in situations where I am going fast through city streets against a faster car and use my fast turning capabilities to my advantage and end up loosing bigger car v8's. WHile they have to press the brakes to turn, I simply punch it and take the turn at faster speeds. I'm gonna start looking into swapping in a Z28 engine, though. Any suggestions?

a guy that i work with has a 3.4 camaro... we went to the track this weekend.. his best time was a 16.8. I'd spend the extra cash on a z28 or you'll be disappointed

You got to remember the point of the V6, it wasn't to go to the track in. It was for a good looking peppy car, that helped the car companies keep their Average MPG down. As most people have said about their V6's, I think it was a great car.... for it's purpose. I too had the 3.8 and it had the perfect mixture of fun, and economy. I used it as a DD and then have the V8 for my "fun" car.
Yes, I would always rather have a z28 or some type of V8, But I still was getting mid to high 20's on the MPG, and all those little Civics and cars that had 4 Cylinders and "go faster" muffler still spent their time behind me.
