Does anyone know what transmission came in the 1998 camaro. It's 5 speed manual t5, but is it the world class or the non-world class? Also does anyone know where I can get syncros for the tranny. The 5th gear and reverse synrco is what is needs help. I took the tranny apart and found a broken piece of metal inside the syncro. That is what was not allowing it to shift into 5th and reverse. I removed it and now I can shift the tranny into 5th and reverse, but the brass bushing is a little damaged. Where might this broken piece have come from. None of the gears are damaged and it didn't look like it came from the 5th-reverse syncro. Thanks.
