Default Transmission bolting pattern on 3.4 & 3.8

Hi gang...I have a 95 with a 3.4 & I may need to rebuild the engine. If so, I was thinking of buying a rebuilt 3.8 from an outfit in Kansas & swapping. But I don't know if the tranny would bolt right up to it. Does anyone know? Thanks...Bruce

The 3800 has the same transmission bolt pattern but swapping to s different motor is a huge project. You will need a doner car because the 3800 has different computer system and a different frame/motor mounts. If it basically the same amount of work as swapping in a LT1. In fact the LT1 may be less work if you got a 95 LT1 doner car.

Thanks for the reply. It was just and idea that popped into my head, but I suspected it would be more trouble than it was worth. Thanks again!
