Your car will get up there and move. I dont recommend trying it but she will get up some where in the 130 range give or take a few.

The only time I've ever hit the governor was when a 5th gen V6 Mustang tried to race me on the freeway at like 3 am.

I agree with the fact that the camaro = Muscle car and Corvette = Sports/Super car. However I dont think its because of the suspension. Hell, Corvettes have leaf springs in the back, which were orginaly used on wagons in the 17th century. They didnt handle well either, and usually had 1 horse power, lol
It's a little different than you make it sound. I have a 92 Vette, and ever since the "new" 1984 model came out, they have had one transverse (side-to-side) fiberglass leaf spring for both the front and back suspension. The rear axle is independent as compared to a solid axle in the Camaro. You can modify the Camaros suspension all you want, and it still won't match up to what the Vette has.
Oh, and isn't the car's top speed governed in accordance to the speed rated tires that the car came equipped with?

Its a sad state of affairs when the youth of today has to ask how fast there car will go. Oh the good old days when you found some deserted road and just held it to the floor. My 74 Camaro wouldmax out the 120 speedo and had another 800 RPMS. My brother bug would run about 88. Moms ford wagon would do 110 but it really started floating all over the road. My sisters 63 dart with the slant 6 would do just over 95. My dad 77 Dodge pick would only do 80 but that was because of the gearing.

Oh I hope none of family reads this

I've hit 124 mph in the Camaro, seemed to be near its limit but I didn't try taking it faster- my tires are only rated to 100 mph, and they're old too, so~

The Talon maxes out at 115 mph, as near as I can tell.

Also, technically, Camaros are neither sports cars or muscle cars. Pony cars, gentlemen, is the term to use.

I thought the Camaro (at least the 4th gen) had an independent rear???

And I know for a fact my car exceeds 125 fairly easily... Then again... My car isn't stock either lol
