Swapped Steel Driveshaft for Aluminum today

I know the opinions on the mild benefits, but I decided to go ahead anyhow, since I've already done many of the other more important mods... :icon_munching:

Here's a comparison pic below (I did some mild polishing on the aluminum)...

Also, my 1 piece steel shaft is for sale!

Any of you still with a 2-piece shaft (93-97), upgrading to a 1-piece is a must do, and EASY JOB!

I'm in the same boat as you. But once I'm done school in 4 weeks I'll get my raise and be back to work. Oh I can't wait. Nothing like wanting to do upgrades but only having an income of $1600 a month and over $2000 in bills to pay. Gotta love life.

I just got one even though I already have a one piece, mainly because I don't like have a rusty old driveshaft in there. Haven't put it in yet though.

A rusty driveshaft isn't a problem, unless the rust is going all the way through -- unlikely on a '98...

The only benefit to changing to an aluminum one is if you run over somebody, they can say ooooooh, nice shiny driveshaft!
Your engine isn't going to feel the 4 lb. difference in spun weight, but your wallet will notice a big difference.
