The 3.4 is imo one of the worst engines built by gm in a long time. The fwd 3.4 is actually a better engine to try and make power in. I drive a 3.4 myself so dont get to offensive. lol But Lilspleen is 100% correct. Getting a 3.8 is going to be a much better platform to mod then a 3.4 and still keep your insurance far under a v8.
It is extremely (and i can't stress EXTREMELY enough) hard to find performance parts for the 3.4. I have never heard of there being any supercharger system out there for the 3.4 platform, muchless turbochargers for the it either.
But i can't also crush a guys dream to have a very one off car. All i'm saying is there are several much better avenues to go in your quest to make power.

Not worth it, do a search. It would be more work then installing a Lt1 from a 94. GM changed their computer system in 96. Connecting a OBD2 motor in a OBD1 system is not a simple task even for a tech.

If you've got a mint 3.4 id say leave it alone. I am 99% sure you will not find anybody on here that will tell you that trying to mod or engine swap this is a good idea. Unless you're going to use a stand alone ecu, like myself later on down the road.

Here, e-mail John and ask him what ya can do on the engine, the man knows those engines very well. I've seen a few 60* engines put down more than a 3.8 can.
