can you believe hes a moderator and a "contributor" very rude. most of the time running forced induction on a v6 camaro its go to be a custom job. i dont think any one on this forum is running a super or turbo on their v6. i always thought using the Grand National or buick t-type setup in a v6 camaro would be cool.

If you run forced induction, you will be limited to the psi you can pump in. I think the connecting rods are weak in the 3.8's, at least that's what I heard. The 3.8's out of FWD cars, I'm told, won't go into your car. I was thinking about getting an engine out of a supercharged bonneville, but apparently they won't bolt in.

Since everything you do will have to be custom, I would recomend a supercharger from paxton or vortec. I've heard of people putting them in place of the AC pump. None of this will be easy, and it's going to get expensive fast.

ill answer your question simply the 3.8 can run about 7-8 ish pounds of boost on the stock internals without huge issues. gaining 7% of your na horse power per lb of boost means your gonna pick up 7*14 98 hp. so you can pertty much get youself toa little over 300 with bolt ons to the crank. but it wont be cheap your looking at 3 grand for a kit alone plus 2 grand ish for the install. frankly nitrous is cheaper.... and with good tuneing you can make more power with nitrous. but super charge is more sensiable if you want somthing thats legal to run at full power on the street. but if your stock dont start with a power adder get bolt ons and other upgrades first.

Try going to rksport.com they have 3.8 superchargers, it will set you back about 3500.
