i have a 95 3.4....been having trouble with keeping it running...it would start fine and idle fine...it would just die randomly...start right back up with no problem...when i revved it up it sounded like it had a rev limiter at about 3000 rpms....today it died and wouldnt start back up...cranks over but will not fire
i can hear the fuel pump running... it has new fuel filter and spark plugs
and suggestions on what to look into next?

 

How many miles are on the Car?

Did you do the plug and wire Change?

Is your CEL light on?

 

How new are your wires? Spray the butterfly valve with cleaner, and run a few tanks of Lucas Fuel System Cleaner in your tank. Any codes? Ever try a fuel pressure test? How good is your spark? Check your PCV valve? It's a process of elimination, but get your codes scanned ASAP.

i had the same problem in my old '97 mazda 626, turned out my intake manifold was shot. also had similar problems in my 5.7 maro, chech gauges light came on, all my gauges whipped around and car died, ended up needing a new distributor. hope that helps any
