Default squelling motor?

I Have a 97 RS. Just got new gaskets done on the motor, there is less than 300miles on it and it is squelling really bad. I plugged it into the computer is said cylinder one was misfiring. So I replaced the coilpacks, wires and plugs and it is still doing it. Buy the way my car has no power at all the car will barely move. does any one have any suggestions what I should do?

Manual or auto? It sounds like the catalytic converter is plugged up. Where is the squealing coming from? Does it run rough as well?

What gaskets were replaced, intake...head...both? And what do you mean by squelling? Were you getting the noise either before or right after the gaskets were replaced, or is it a new development? Sorry, but it's kinda hard to hear what the noise is over the internet. Serpentine belt, locked up brakes, bad alternator, bad A/C compressor...what kind of squeal? Or is it a loud or soft clicking or a knocking noise?
And I hate to say this, but if the replaced gaskets were water/coolant related, I sure hope all the old oil was drained out of the oil pan and replaced. Otherwise coolant could have made it's way down into the oil pan (which it usually does with a gasket change). The water would sit at the bottom of the pan and then get sucked up by the oil pump after the engine was restarted. That spells eminent doom for your bearings and rings, and if those got fried, they would make an awful squealing noise too.
Not trying to scare you, but more info is needed to make a better educated guess.

THe intake and head gaskets where replace. It is really wierd, the noise happen after my car stalled out and it lost all kinds of power. The car will barley move. Its a knocking noise and a squelling noise. The knocking noise sounds like it's cooming from the cyclinder 1 and squealling is coming from, I think it might be some kind of bearing? Ya the oil was drainded and replced with new also coolant. It really sounds like what your saying diffently cound have happened. OK and now the computer is showingi need to replace the throttle postion sensor. Oh bye the way after I had my gaskets replaced my car was not nearlly as fast as it was before. I think you for all your help if you can help me any more I think you or have any more ideas let me know
