Default sold my 94 to a guy and now it wont start?

hey guys I sold my 94 3.4 to a guy and let me tell you my car was awesome it ran perfectly and never gave me any problems the entire 2 years i had it. Anyway he picked it up today, drove it home, then went back to drive it again and it wouldn't start. He tells me the headlights turn on but thats it, theres not starter clicking or engaging. nothing. turn the key and nothing happens. do you guys have any idea what this could be ? He's a pretty trustworthy guy and i doubt he was beating it or intentionally doing this. thanks !

could be something stupid like the PASS key thing er watever, the little chip. Try cleanin those of in the steering wheel and makin sure the key is clean too. did he check fuses or anything or did he just come running to you as soon as it happened, could be alot of things really.

Starter or ignition. My 2000 recently ran fine and one morning nothing. Ended up being the pass key, which shuts down the fuel because it cant read the key. Requires new ignition and pass key

O crap i feel retarded now, its a manual right? Check the clutch, i dont know the technical name for the device but it is what stops the engine from starting without the clutch depressed. Ya know what im talkin about right? I really feel stupid because its on the tip of my tongue but i cant for the life of me figure out what it is. And yes the PASS key thing was a security thing, the key for the car has that little black bump with the silver colored plate in it right? Each key is vehicle specific and the car wont start without that key, but a copy can run all the accesories.
